World Cup Gardena/Gröden wins third prize at FIS OC Award in Bolzano/Bozen

South Tyrol only non-Austrian host awarded

World Cup Gardena/Gröden has won the third prize in the "Audi FIS Ski World Cup OC Awards". This is the first time that the international ski federation has awarded organizers.

Gardena/Gröden was the only non-Austrian OC to win an award. The award ceremony took place as part of the Prowinter trade show in Bolzano/Bozen.

Edmund Dellago, President of OC Gardena/Gröden proudly accepted the prize handed to him by Gianfranco Kaspar: "This award compels us to continue to work with joy and commitment in an effort to further improve the World Cup races in Gardena/Gröden for athletes, spectators and media, alike. I accept this award on behalf of the many volunteers who make this event possible" added Mr. Dellago who continue by thanking the FIS and by congratulating the winner.

This first FIS OC award went to Kitzbühel ahead of Flachau. Placing behind Gardena/Gröden was Beaver Creek (USA) and Zagreb (CO).

This was the first time this prize was awarded as a sign of recognition and incentive to OCs worldwide.
