Everything is ready, including the race track! FIS confirmed the World Cup races on the Saslong at today's snow check. There will be a super-G on Friday, 14 December followed by the traditional downhill the day after.

"The currently very low temperatures allow sufficient snow production for the race track and all the safety areas" explains race director Rainer Senoner, who is also president of the organizing committee. "Nothing stands in the way of the races anymore. The starting times have changed slightly: the super-G starts at 12 noon, the downhill at 11:45 am.

In addition to the two World Cup races, an extensive entertainment program is also planned. On Thursday evening, the bib numbers for the Friday race will be publicly selected for the first time: from 5:45 pm in the 'Puent da Mulin’ in Selva/Wolkenstein.
After the super-G, the 'Vitalini Speed Contest' for young racers will take place on the Finish Schuss and in the evening the super-G award ceremony and bib number selection will take place in Ortisei/St.Ulrich from 5:45 p.m. onwards. Also, 2017 Südtirol Ski Trophy winner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde will be honored during this ceremony. The last highlight on Friday evening is 'The Ski World Cup Christmas Party' in the two-story tent in the finish area.
