"Hoping for races that will be remembered positively for a long time"
Rainer Senoner, president of the Saslong Classic Club, is relieved that the race week in Val Gardena/Gröden is finally underway after a long preparation marked by many unknowns.
"We are in the home stretch with the two races in clear view. Probably never before has it been so difficult to organize such a sporting event as this year," said Senoner. The president of the Saslong Classic Club expressed his special thanks to all the employees and volunteers who have done a "great job" in the past weeks: "The fact that we are able to host the speed events is a credit to the entire organization team. Without the help of each and every one of them, we wouldn't be where we are now."
Senoner, who sees the race week in Val Gardena/Gröden as the result of months of work, looks forward to the upcoming four days with hope: "I am confident that we will see a successful event that gives back to everyone involved. We hope for races without major hiccups that will be remembered positively for a long time to come."
