At the team captains’ meeting on Friday in Selva/Wolkenstein, the super-G was reviewed and the latest information announced for the downhill on Saturday.

The excellent atmosphere, which has distinguished this race week for both FIS and the OC also marked this last session. "I can only repeat myself and once again thank everyone for their hard work. Everything went well in today's super-G. We can be more than satisfied", says Rainer Senoner, President of the Organizing Committee Val Gardena/Gröden.

FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis added: "I have already received a lot of positive feedback. The races here on the Saslong are the best advertisement for all winter sports and put the whole region in a positive light. I would also like to thank all those who have made it possible for the Val d'Isère women's competitions to take place here in Val Gardena/Gröden.”

Technical delegate Edi Dreschl and FIS race director also joined in the positive remarks. "For us it is of course a great advantage if the weather is on our side. Bright sunshine has also been announced for tomorrow - so things couldn't be better. We are looking forward to a spectacular downhill under ideal conditions", said the two in unison and once again praised all the volunteers on and off the course.

The downhill classic on the Saslong starts on Saturday at 11:45 am.
