The starting list for the super-G on Friday has been set: the starting numbers for the first of the two speed competitions at the 57th Saslong Classic were determined at the team captains' meeting on Thursday evening.

The super-G will start at 11:45 am with US skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle. Cyprien Sarrazin will be the first of the favorites to take to the course. The Frenchman, who took second place in the only super-G of the winter so far in Beaver Creek, will start with bib number 6.

While the fastest skier in the first downhill training, Mattia Casse, tackles the super-G with bib number 10, Beaver Creek winner Marco Odermatt will be racing down the mountain with bib number 12. The Swiss is one of the hot favorites to win the day, as the winner of the 2023/24 discipline World Cup and the current leader in the super-G standings. Immediately behind Odermatt, Wednesday's training winner James Crawford of Canada and Dominik Paris of Italy will be the first to set off from the starting gate, wearing bib numbers 13 and 14 respectively.

“Defending champion” Vincent Kriechmayr of Austria (no. 15) is also a contender. The three-time winner of the Val Gardena/Gröden race will be the last skier in the top group to start. His compatriot Lukas Feurstein, who took his first World Cup podium finish with a third-place finish in the Super-G in Beaver Creek, is also a contender for a top result. He will be the next racer to go down, with bib number 16, immediately after Kriechmayr.

A total of nine Italians will be competing in the super-G, including three from South Tyrol: Christof Innerhofer from Gais (no. 38), Florian Schieder from Kastelruth (no. 58) and Max Perathoner from Wokenstein (no. 60).
