Live on-site: The experienced Saslong editorial team is ready to roll.

12.12.2023

The entire Val Gardena/Gröden region is geared up for the 56th edition of the Saslong Classic in an XXL format. From Thursday to Saturday, three races—two downhill races and a super-G—will unfold at the base of the Sassolungo/Langkofel. While the world's top speed aces take on the first downhill training on Tuesday, the Saslong editorial team has already commenced their work.

Throughout the race week, the editorial team will diligently provide ski enthusiasts and journalists worldwide with comprehensive information on the three speed events in Val Gardena/Gröden. The editors will be in close proximity at the team captains' meetings, training sessions, and the races themselves, delivering real-time on-site action reports. The website www.saslong.org will once again serve as a reference point for accessing all news and background reports. Additionally, social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and the video

Heading the editorial team for the fifth time, Hannes Kröss serves as the Head of Communications. He is assisted by Evi Hilpold, Head of the Press Center, responsible for managing all media representatives, and Alexia Demez, in charge of PR. The team also comprises Isabell Rabanser, Gloria Sommavilla, and Laura Stuflesser.

Sara Valduga, Kathrin Dellago, and Martin Straudi craft texts in Italian, English, and German. Michael Mair am Tinkhof, Julia Karbon, Diego Runggaldier and Christian Plankl oversee social media, while Katharina Gräber handles technical aspects in the background.

Photographers Robert Perathoner, Ivan Mahlknecht, Harald Wisthaler, and Werner Dejori provide the appropriate visuals.

As in previous years, the Saslong editorial team establishes its workplace in the media center located in the gymnasium in St. Christina. This centrally located building serves as the convergence point for all activities—it's no coincidence that it has been the primary hub for all media professionals across numerous Saslong Classic editions. The media center is well-equipped for the diverse needs of international journalists, offering a fast internet connection, a collection point with relevant information, and a contact point for general questions. Press personnel will find everything they need for their daily work here.
