Ready for Race Week: The Saslong Editorial Team Is Ready to Go

16.12.2025

Everything is set in Val Gardena/Gröden for the 58th edition of the Saslong Classic. From Thursday to Saturday, three top-class speed competitions are on the program at the foot of the Sassolungo/Langkofel. The race week kicks off with the sprint downhill on Thursday, followed by the traditional super-G on Friday and the classic downhill on Saturday. While the world’s best speed specialists officially began race week on Tuesday with the first downhill training run, the Saslong editorial team also got down to work.

The editorial team will be on duty throughout the week to provide ski fans and media representatives from around the world with up-to-date information on the races in Val Gardena/Gröden. Whether at team meetings, training sessions, or races, the editorial staff is always close to the action and reports on all developments in real time. The central point of contact is the website www.saslong.org, which features the latest news and background reports. In addition, the Facebook and Instagram channels, as well as the YouTube platform, are continuously updated with multimedia content.

For the seventh time, Hannes Kröss is in charge of communications. He is supported by Evi Hilpold, who heads the press center and serves as the central contact person for media representatives, and Alexia Demez, who is responsible for coordinating PR activities. The editorial team also includes Isabell Rabanser, Gloria Sommavilla, and Laura Stuflesser.

Editorial content is produced in German, Italian, and English by Martin Straudi, Sara Valduga, and Kathrin Dellago, respectively. Diego Runggaldier, Julia Karbon, and Christian Plankl oversee social media, while Katharina Gräber ensures that everything runs smoothly in the background. Photographers Robert Perathoner, Harald Wisthaler, and Camilla Pizzini are responsible for visual content.

As in previous years, the Saslong editorial office is located in the media center at the St. Christina gym. This venue has long established itself as a central meeting place for the international press. With a fast internet connection, an information point with the latest news, and a help desk for general inquiries, the press center offers optimal working conditions for media professionals throughout race week.
