Instead of the best downhill skiers of the world whizzing down the mountain, it was the Val Gardena/Gröden World Cup team holding their glasses up: at the summer celebration of the Saslong Classic Club.

President Rainer Senoner invited and the staff heeded the call. Recently, a thank you celebration was held at the Jagerhaus, right on the Saslong, during which team members could look back on last year's World Cup races. The anniversary edition created fond memories and everyone is looking forward to the 2018 World Cup race with great anticipation. A downhill and a super-G will be held on December, 14th and 15th this year. Last year, 14,000 spectators came to the two races.
