There will be a second uphill Saslong race after the great success of last year's first edition. The Val Gardena/Gröden Vertical-Up takes place on Saturday, January 27, 2018 and is part of a series of competitions in several World Cup locations.

The ascent race runs over 2,365 meters and 590 vertical meters to the start of the Super-G. There are two classes: Speed (in racing mode - the fastest wins) and Backpack Class, where it’s more about fun than speed (best average time wins). Registrations are open until January 20, 2018.
