Südtirol Ski Trophy: Aleksander Aamodt Kilde wins
The winner of the Südtirol Ski Trophy is Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. The Norwegian amassed the highest number of FIS points at the South Tyrolean races in Val Gardena and Alta Badia, winning a prize money of over Euros 20,000.
A 4th place at the parallel slalom in Alta Badia and in the Super-G in Val Gardena/Gröden and an 18th place in the downhill are what Aleksander Aamodt Kilde accomplished after this World Cup weekend. Thus, he accumulated the highest number of points of all participants in the South Tyrol races fulfilling the conditions in Val Gardena and Alta Badia that included the participation in the parallel slalom.
The allrounder can look forward to a prize money of Euros 20,000 and a wooden bust, which will be installed in the "Hall of Fame" in the Saslonch Hut. In addition, he is invited to prepare a favorite dish with the South Tyrolean star chef Anna Matscher. We are already excited to taste next year’s dish after last year’s winner, fellow country man Kjetil Jansrud, created thick spaghetti with sea buckthorn and "bottarga" of venison this year. The Norwegian winner of last year was erroneously announced as this year’s winner after a counting error. This was corrected one day after the race. The organizers regret the mistake and thank the two racers who showed good sportsmanship.
