Südtirol Ski Trophy: Svindal in the lead
This year, for the second time, the athlete who wins the most FIS points during the four South Tyrol World Cup races will receive a prize. Norwegian athlete Aksel Lund Svindal leads after the two speed competitions in Val Gardena/Gröden. Next up are the two technical races in Alta Badia; the winner will be determined on Monday, December 18th. According to regulations, the winner must start in the parallel slalom. This year’s favorites definitely include the “all-rounders”. Last year's winner Kjetil Jansrud enjoyed a wooden bust of his likeness and extra prize money. The Südtirol Ski Trophy is organized by IDM Südtirol. For skiers, there is also the opportunity to participate in a raffle: the winner will be drawn among those who correctly guess who is taking the 2017 Südtirol Trophy home. Prizes include South Tyrolean gadgets.
