The "Saslong - Passion & Performance" photo competition was claimed by Luciano Maria Bisi.
For the 56th edition of the Saslong Classic, an international photo competition was once again held under the motto "Saslong - Passion & Performance." Italian sports photographer Luciano Maria Bisi emerged victorious in the competition.
Bisi impressed the jury with a black and white photo of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde on the flat section of the Saslong and received the prize on Saturday afternoon at the media center in St. Cristina. "Bisi's photo captivates with its unique artistry, great image technique, and a perfectly fitting color profile. The shot itself tells the story of the athlete's sporting commitment very well," commented the expert jury, comprised of representatives from the Saslong Classic Club, the tourism association, and Dolomites Val Gardena.
Behind Bisi, Pierre Teyssot and Sergio Bisi (the brother of the winner Luciano Maria Bisi) secured second and third place, respectively. Teyssot earned recognition for his photo of American skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle racing down the Saslong, while Bisi scored points with a picture of an emotional Mattia Casse celebrating after his third place in the 2022 downhill classic.
As the winner of the photo competition, Luciano Maria Bisi will receive a shopping voucher worth 500 euros, redeemable at the participating stores of the Val Gardena/Gröden merchants. The second and third places are endowed with the same voucher, worth 300 and 200 euros, respectively.
A total of 19 photographers participated in the competition.
