We're looking forward to the ladies‘ races. "We're ready!"

On Sunday evening, the first team captains‘ meeting took place in Selva/Wolkenstein, which for the first time is hosting the Ladies‘ World Cup this year.

Rainer Senoner, President of the Organizing Committee Val Gardena/Gröden, opened the meeting and welcomed the audience warmly. He emphasized that "the ladies‘ races are a new and beautiful challenge and it will certainly be an unforgettable experience. We are ready".

He thanked all employees for the work done.

The president of the tourism association St.Christina Ezio Prinoth wished all racers good luck. "The Toursimus Association is proud that the ladies‘ races are taking place in Val Gardena/Gröden."

The technical delegate of the FIS Matiaz Kiranjc from Slovenia also expressed great praise. His task as a member of the jury is to make sure that everything runs smoothly and according to the rules of the International Ski Race, ICR. He added that "this race on the famous Saslong course is a special opportunity for the female racers".

Atle Skaardal, the Norwegian FIS Race Director, welcomed all those present and complimented the Organizing Committee on the successful organization of the forthcoming races.

"A few small improvements were made to the Ciaslat meadows and minor changes were made to the Camel Humps. The slopes are in top condition". The French FIS race director and course setter Jean-Philippe Vulliet commented on the condition of the course.

The starting numbers will be drawn on Monday, 17 December at 5:45 at the "Puent da Mulin" in Selva/Wolkenstein.

The first of two training runs will start tomorrow, Monday, at 10:00 am, the second at 12:30 pm. The first race will be opened by Stuhec Ilka from Slovenia and the second by Anna Veith from Austria. Local favorite Nicol Delago will start with the bib number 10, and then with the 20.
